Privacy Policy

EasyHomeControl doesn’t collect your name, your email, or anything about your home.

The app talks to your thermostat through Apple’s HomeKit. At home, that happens between your own devices. When you’re away, HomeKit may pass it through your home hub and Apple, end-to-end encrypted. None of your home data is sent to me or shared with anyone else.

The app stores a small amount of information on your device so it remembers your selected home, thermostat, and temperature unit between launches. That information stays on the device and in your own device backups.

Tips

Tips are optional, and the tip prices come from Apple. When you tap a tip, the app starts using RevenueCat, the service that records tips, and Apple processes the payment. From then on, RevenueCat receives Apple’s record of each tip and basic device details (such as the device model, iOS version, preferred languages, country, and an app-specific device identifier). It stores them under a random ID created for the app, so tips can be confirmed, checked for fraud, and totaled. None of this includes your name or email address.

RevenueCat must protect this information at least as well as this policy does. It’s kept until it’s no longer needed or you ask for it to be deleted. To have it deleted, email support@jonwhofixesthings.com, including the order ID from Apple’s receipt if you have it, and I’ll have RevenueCat remove it.
